In the centre of Ayia Napa you will find many souvenir and gift shops, and many other shops all aiming at tourists, such as Ecco, Shoe Box, BrandShop, London Clothing and many more. Open every day 09.00-22.00.There are also smaller supermarkets such as Best Buy and Plus.
In nearby Paralimni, you will find more shops selling clothes, shoes and sports equipment, e.g. Sports Direct on 3 floors. Most shops are open daily but close 13.00-16.00 for “siesta”.
For groceries visit Lidl, Carrefour, Metro or Kokkinos Supermarket where you will find both local and European products. Open daily.
In Larnaka, about 50 kilometres away towards the airport, you will find Debenhams mall and food department and in the centre Ermou shopping avenue with Marks & Spencer among many other shops.
Don’t miss a visit to The Mall of Cyprus in Nicosia, with a larger and better shopping selection and hundreds of brand shops, cafeterias, restaurants and cinema. Next door you will also find Swedish IKEA. A visit to the coastal city Limassol offers more exclusive boutiques.
Some items such as branded glasses and sunglasses, leather bags and clothing, and ceramics and handicrafts, sell up to 50 % cheaper than in Scandinavia.
Saturday is market day in Ayia Napa Square from 10.00-14.00 (only during winter time).
You can also find an open air market in Ayia Thekla, a few kilometres away, every Wednesday, hand items as well as fruit and vegetables. There are also food stands. Open from 09.00.
In Nicosia on the old Municipal Square there is an open air fruit and vegetable market every Saturday.
